[Vocabulary] Common Prefixes
In English, by add prefixes and suffix you could make a new word.

Following is a list of prefixes with their meanings and examples:

"anti" means "against". e.g. anti-drug, anti-art, anti-American...

"auto" means "self". e.g. auto-dial, auto-alarm, auto-changer...

"bi" means "two". e.g. biannual, biangular, biaxial...

"co" means "with". e.g. co-ed, co-op, co-worker...

"contra" means "against". e.g. contradiction, contrarily...

"de" means "take off". e.g. de-escalation, de-emphasis...

"dis" means "no, not". e.g. disable, dispart, disaccord...

"inter" means "between". e.g. intersection, interact, interbreed...

"mis" means "wrongly, badly, not". e.g. misadvise, misally, misapply...

"multi" means "many". e.g. multi-aspect, multi-access, multi-user...

"non" means "no." e.g. nonexistence, nonacceptance...

"over" means "too much". e.g. overdo, overact, overage...

"post" means "after". e.g. postdate, postern...

"pre" means "before". e.g. pre-exist, pre-requisite...

"re" means "again." e.g. re-act, re-try...

"sub" means "beneath, below". e.g. subbass, subdivide...

"super" means "great, improved". e.g. superaddition, superman...

"trans" means "across." e.g. transaction, transcend...

"uni" means "single". e.g. unicolor, uniaxial...

"under" means "below or not enough". e.g. underact, underperform...
